I attended the Sunday presentation of Sara Baker’s black belt ceremony. Sara, whom I wrote about earlier, was in a terrible automobile accident. As a result, she became paraplegic. However, before the accident, she had completed all the physical requirements for her black belt in Taekwondo- except the written test and creating a kata. With the help of Karen Winfield, a black belt Instructor at Pecoraro’s Academy, she was able to answer all her questions and create her kata. Karen shared her experiences working with Sara.
