By LIM TEIK HUAT PETALING JAYA: Hayashi-Ha retained the overall title but it was Sabah who served notice that they would be a force to be reckoned with in the near future in the National Junior and Cadet Karate Championships, which ended in Putrajaya yesterday. Hayashi-Ha exponents bagged three gold medals in the kumite (sparring) event in the cadet categories for a final total haul of eight golds, seven silvers and five bronzes. Sivanesan Perumal and M. Karthigeyen emerged victorious in the boys' below 55kg and below 70kg respectively while M. Mathivani delivered the third gold in the girls' below 57kg.
